Volkswagen Group (UK) Limited were intermediate tenants at a warehouse property in Crawley West Sussex. Our Landlords duly served a terminal Schedule of Dilapidations totalling £259,459.20!! We instructed Dilaps-Direct to manage our liability and recover as much money as possible from our sub-tenant, on the basis of a performance fee related to the how much they could reduce the shortfall between what we had to pay and what was received from the sub-tenants . They served a schedule on our sub-tenants and negotiated a settlement of £76,000.00 (which was favourable as the tenant had a schedule of condition). After lengthy and painful negotiations they convinced the landlords to accept a figure of £95,000, providing a shortfall of only £19,000.00.
